Sensenmuseum Geyerhammer
Scharnstein, Austria
The "Geyerhammer" scythe forge in Scharnstein was in operation until 1987 and, with its 400-year history, is now one of the most interesting excursion destinations and cultural sites in the Almtal. Inside the museum you can look forward to an impressive tour that shows the transition from craftsmanship to industrial production and the creation of the largest scythe factory in the Danube Monarchy with all its effects on the entire region. We look forward to welcoming you on a journey into the past. This exhibition is equipped with audio guide announcements.
